TROY M. BROWN JR., born May 22,1926 to Troy M. Brown Sr. & Natalie Schroeter in San Antonio, Texas. He served his country well with honors in the United States Navy during WW-II and the Korean war. Why would anyone serve in two wars? The answer is the American Flag and what it represents. Upon leaving the Navy, he worked at Tinker AFB. While in Civil Service, he served in Thailand and Taiwan. He retired from McClellan AFB in Sacramento, California in 1983 and moved to Sarco, Texas. Troy was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Michael Brown in 1960. He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Bryant, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karen Hintz, Palm Dale, California and LaVonda Horton, Piedmont, Oklahoma. He also leaves four grandchildren, two brothers, Ralph Brown of Oklahoma City Oklahoma, Roy Brown of Victoria Texas, two sisters, Ruth Friedrichs of Corpus Christi Texas and Mary Johnson of Tulsa Oklahoma. He also leaves a very special friend, Miss Arlene of LaVernia Texas. Services were 1000 hrs. Friday, May 31st 1996 at St. Mark Lutheran Church 7501 E. Reno Midwest City, Oklahoma. Interment was at Arlington Memory Gardens with full military honors by Boyd Fallwell, Veterans of America Honor Guard. With the help of God and men like Troy Brown, we do live in a free country.
