PFC Scott Alan Rush, 317 Engineer Battalion, Company B, was one of the first casualties of the Gulf War along with his bunker mate Specialist 4 Gary Crask. Scott died on the border of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, in a bunker accident. Scott enlisted in the Army right after graduating high school in 1989. Scott graduated from basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and spent the next 14 months at Camp Eshborn, Frankfort, Germany. Scott was transferred to Saudi Arabia on December 6, 1990. Scott died in Saudi Arabia, January 19, 1991 at the age of 19. He would have been 20 on the 16th of February that same year. Scott was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in Pueblo, Colorado until 1983 when his family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Scott's birthdate: February 16, 1971
Scott's ashes are at Imperial Memorial Gardens, Pueblo, Colorado in the Vetran's Court of Honor.
Scott's father, Jon L. Rush served in the Air Force during Viet Nam.
