William A. Howell Sr.
William retired from active duty in December 1973, and completed his 10 year Fleet Reserve obligation in December 1983. He enlisted in the USMC at age 16, he toured Korea at the end of the conflict. He also spent four tours in Viet Nam, he has received several commendations for his service to the United States, among them are two Purple Hearts, Bronze Star, and Silver Star. William no longer resides at 1151 Stoney Point Rd. Paris, Ky. He is now missing as he passed from this life March 20, 1999 - 11:54 am, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He has been buried at Camp Nelson, Ky. He had a full Military Honor burial. |
