Paul Hambly - 1940 - WW-II

Paul Hambly - Boatswain 1/C served aboard the USS Minneapolis in the South Pacific. His brother, Richard Hambly, Jr. was also with him on the USS Minneapolis.


USS MINNEAPOLIS - HEAVY CRUSIER

The USS Minneapolis was off the coast of Pearl Harbor for gunnery practice on that date of infamy, December 7, 1941. It was torpedoed, but it didn't sink and they beached it at Talaugi. Paul Hambly served during the rest of the war and was discharged late in 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Paul Hambly is the Father of Barbara Seay.
