Vietnam Service ~ 1965 to 1968
In Country for 13 Months of Severe Combat.


ALLEN DALE DAVEY age 49, UNITED STATES MARINE of Cotopaxi, Colorado passed on Saturday January 18, 1997.
Allen served our country well during the Vietnam war with the U.S. Marine Corps 3rd Division, 3rd Battalion. He served from June 5, 1965 to June 1968, in the heat of the war for three (3) years. Allen was in country for thirteen (13) months of severe combat with no rest or recreation. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Friday January 24th at Fort Lyons National Military Cemetery with full military honors. We do not live under the Communist Hammer & Sickle because of men like Allen Davey. He more than did his part so we can live in a free country, under our red, white and blue, the stars and stripes.
Allen was born March 7th 1947 in Greeley, Colorado the son of Carl and Emma Davey. He graduated from Poudre High School in 1965.
Allen owned and operated a sporting goods store in Howard, Colorado for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors-hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
