Once a Marine, always a Marine.

November 6, 1995 Dad was told he only had a few more days to live. He got busy calling all his Marine buddies to say goodbye. Bob O’Brien, Riley Love, Bob White, Lou Schott, Al Gray, Ray Geoffroy, thank you for being there for us. Around 11pm on November 9th, we were sitting on the bed with Dad. He was down to his last few hours. As we shared our last few moments, we held his hand and told him how much we loved him. He kept asking, "is it midnight yet ?, is it midnight yet ?" He waited until 2:32am and then he left us. November 10, 1995. The 220th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

A LIGHT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

" Go on in the way you are going. Leave your lights burning behind you,
So that others coming after you may benefit thereby.
Perchance, your boy or girl, passing that way some day,
May point to a lamp you left and say, gratefully and with pride.
'My Dad left that light burning.' "

Thanks be to God and men like Colonel T.C. "Tim" Budd, we do not live as slaves under the Nazi Swastika, the flag of the rising Sun nor the Hammer and Sickle. We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave, under our red, white and blue, the stars and stripes, "Old Glory"
